Backup4all Lite

The problem with data loss accidents is that you never know when they might occur. As such, the one and most important think you can do to protect your files against data loss accidents is to back them up. that’s something you can do with Softland’s aptly named backup solution, Backup4all.

Several Backup4all editions are available: Lite, Standard, Professional, and Portable. As you can see from this comparison chart, Backup4all Lite is the baby in the lineup, with the least amount of features to offer. It can’t back up files to Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive or a FTP server, its interface can’t be password protected, it doesn’t support AES encryption, and more.


By default, Backup4all Lite will bring up a Getting Started prompt at startup. The prompt presents three options:
Backup – create a new backup job or execute an existing backup job.
Restore – restore all files from a backup job or load a job.
Links – how to articles, video tutorials, shortcuts to various tasks.

Creating a new backup is an effortless task, mainly because a wizard will guide you through the entire process. As you can see from the Quick Look video that accompanies this article, you’ll get to choose what files will be backed up, where they will be backed up, and how often they will be backed up.

Backup4all Lite has a ribbon interface and that, obviously, means that buttons for all the features, functions, settings and options are presented at the top, on a ribbon. If you don’t like the ribbon, you can minimize it and thus hide it out of sight.

Backup4all Lite is free to use for a trial period of 30 days. Once you’re done installing this backup solution on your PC, you will be asked which version you would like to evaluate: the Lite version, the Standard version, or the Professional version.
